Released in April 1977 on CBS, The Clash is the debut album from Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Tory Crimes, recorded in three weekend sessions and produced by Micky Foote. Janie Jones, White Riot, London's Burning, Career Opportunities and Garageland arrive in short, furious bursts, broken only by the reggae of Police & Thieves. The sleeve photography by Kate Simon on the front and Rocco Macauley on the back, showing police lines at the Notting Hill carnival, is as much a part of the record as the music.
This is a used copy, carefully sourced by Crawford & Bond and inspected in hand. The sleeve carries honest wear consistent with its age, including ring wear, edge and corner wear and light surface soiling. The vinyl itself presents clean and glossy.
