Hot Toys — War Machine | Movie Masterpiece Series Diecast | MMS331D13 | Iron Man 2 | 1:6 Scale | First Issue | Mint & Unopened
Some suits of armour are just armour. War Machine is a statement.
When James Rhodes climbed into the Iron Man Mark II and had it repainted gunmetal grey in Iron Man 2, he didn't just steal a suit — he created one of the most iconic and enduringly beloved armoured characters in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. Heavy. Weaponised. Unstoppable. And now rendered in extraordinary detail at 1:6 scale by the undisputed masters of premium collectible figures: Hot Toys.
This is the MMS331D13 War Machine from Hot Toys' Movie Masterpiece Series Diecast — the First Issue edition, mint and completely unopened. First Issue pieces are increasingly scarce and consistently command strong collector premiums over the reissue. If you missed it first time around, this is a genuinely rare opportunity to own one in pristine, unopened condition.
The figure stands approximately 32.6cm tall and is constructed with diecast material throughout, featuring a newly developed helmeted head sculpt with the authentic likeness of Don Cheadle as James Rhodes, an interchangeable LED light-up helmet with white light and red lens, and over 30 points of articulation. The metallic black and silver armour is rendered with painstaking movie-accurate detail, right down to the hidden shoulder weapon compartments, articulated back-mounted machine gun, and the LED-lit Arc Reactor on the chest.
Battle-damaged armour parts are included for the head, shoulder, chest, and back, and the chest and shin armour can be fully detached to reveal the interior mechanical design beneath. Hot Toys The figure also comes with a specially designed diorama figure stand based on the final showdown with Whiplash Mark II — not just a display piece, but a scene in miniature.
Box dimensions: 18cm (H) × 25cm (W) × 44cm (D). Shipping weight: approximately 3.1kg.
This is a piece that belongs in a serious Marvel or Hot Toys collection. It is not a toy. It is a work of precision craft, officially licensed, production-grade, and made to be displayed, admired, and — for the right collector — to increase in value over time.

Merchandising tips
Merchandising tips
Style & Display
- Group pieces by theme or character universe for maximum visual impact — clusters of related pieces signal to collectors that this is a range worth exploring
- Give each piece room to breathe — these are sculptures, not knick-knacks; crowding them obscures the hand-painted detail that makes them special
- Position at eye level where possible so customers can appreciate the intricate folk art patterning up close
- Lead with the largest or most dramatic piece as the anchor, then build smaller pieces around it
- A backdrop that complements the colour palette of each piece will draw the eye and elevate the display from shop shelf to curated collection
Gifting
- These pieces appeal across all age groups — nostalgic adults, devoted collectors, parents and grandparents buying for family members alike
- Always lead with the story, not the price — communicating the craftsmanship and the specific scene or character moment justifies the price far more effectively than the number alone
- Position smaller pieces as approachable gifts for birthdays and celebrations; larger statement pieces as landmark gifts for significant occasions; detailed scene pieces as the ultimate collector's statement
- Every piece arrives in a branded gift box — no additional wrapping needed, making these an effortless premium gift at any price point
